It essentially runs a “fake” operating system as a program inside of MacOS. If you own a Mac, then you might be a little familiar with what Parallels does. The far more preferrable solution, at least for me, is to run a program called Parallels. The biggest downside is what I mentioned before – you’re stuck with your hard drive partitioned and each time you want to load another OS, you have to restart your computer. If you are unsure about how to reinstall App Inventor, you can view this guide. To uninstall the program, use the uninstall tool included with MIT App Inventor Tools and then restart your computer. If none of the previous steps solve your connection issue, you may have to reinstall the MIT App Inventor Tools. Once the computer is restarted, launch aiStarter and attempt to connect to it using the App Inventor web application. After restarting aiStarter, try connecting the App Inventor web application to it by clicking Connect on the navigation bar of the site and choosing the preferred connection method (i.e. Try closing aiStarter and relaunching it.
